Holiday Break

via Pinterest
Hello, readers! I'm writing to you from Virginia, where Jeff and I are visiting his family. I'm engaging in very important activities like eating cookies and taking naps. I've decided to declare a blogging break until the New Year to more effectively engage in these activities.

(When I'm back, I think I need to make a big red circle skirt and polka dot top, like in the adorable vintage card above. Isn't it the best Christmas outfit ever?)

Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  3. I had a bright red circular skirt when I was 17 and wore it with red point stilletos and a deep black belt. Despite growing up in the 70s and 80s I always wore 50s style clothes. They are so feminine and pretty. It is still in my top ten favourite garments (if only my waist was still 22 inches and I could still wear it!!) Have a lovely holiday. Lily. xxx

  22. Like many others here, I got your book for Christmas as well, and have been reading it in bed every night. For some reason, though, my husband isn't as interested in all the different methods for finishing buttonholes as I am. His loss! Thanks for all you do for women and the sewing community in general!
