Readers, Jeff's book cover has been revealed! And it's smashing! And it has a big, amazing quote from Suzanne Collins (author of The Hunger Games trilogy) at the top! She says, "The Eleventh Plague hits disturbingly close to home . . . An excellent, taut debut novel."
I'm so excited for him that I just can't write about sewing today. Having watched him work tirelessly on this book for the last few years, it's amazing to see it go out into the world with such a bang.
Also, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that you can pre-order a copy here. (It releases in September.) All royalties will benefit the purchase of pretty things and fancy dinners for me. Kidding! (Sort of.)
Yay, Jeff!
Wow - a quote from Suzanne Collins. Go, Jeff! Will the book be available on Kindle?
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations to you both! I just finished the Hunger Games books, so that caught my eye right away!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jeff! I will definitely pick it up when it is released, as I love post-apocalyptic fiction with young protagonists. :D Plus, an endorsement by Suzanne Collins?!? Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! Most awesome news!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Congratulations, Jeff. Love the cover.

Absolutely wonderful for you and Jeff. The cover is stunning. I am also a fan of this genre and will certainly look forward to reading it. I have a family member who writes educational books, not quite the same of course, but with each book published he buys one special item/piece of art/ or fab car to commemorate the release. A little something to think about:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jeff! My son is a huge Hunger Games fan, so this will be a nice birthday gift for him.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover! I have a special place in my heart for Ferris Wheels (they pay the bills around here). I'll be getting a copy for sure!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jeff!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jeff and the cover is great! I am not sure if it is a horror novel but if it is he should get the publisher to send a copy to Rue Morgue magazine for a review :)
ReplyDeleteYay Jeff indeed!!! I'm going to pre-order.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I am a post-apocalyptic book fan, and can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! It's all incredibly exciting. I saw the cover and blurb awhile ago but getting to share it with all you guys makes it seems new all over again!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jeff! And may you buy many pretty things.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I will also ask whether it'll be available on Kindle...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing in the excitement, everyone! It warms my heart. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will be available on Kindle, but it usually takes them some time to get the pre-order link on the product page.
Looking forward to reading it! I've been following Jeff's blog from afar - as a professional reader (scripts, not books), it's always interesting to hear about the creative process from a different perspective. Is there a UK publication date scheduled or should one order the American edition?
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! What an amazing accomplishment it must be to write (and publish) a book.
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness. . . as a librarian, I can assure you that this book will be a hit (at least in our area). I just did the request slip. One public library down, a zillion more to go. . . Congratulations. And you can let Jeff know that I support your purchase of pretty things. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, exciting news indeed. May it go straight to the top; and may it yield many pretty things for his lovely and supportive wife. hehe k.
ReplyDeletePre-ordered!!! I love post-acoplyptic books! Can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an eerie cover. Looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteoooooooh end of the world stuff... i don't know why, when i can't watch the real news, but i eat this stuff up! big congratulations to jeff :)

ReplyDeleteWooHOOO! Go Jeff and Go Hirsh's. You guys are bursting at the seams with awesome!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I'm putting a request in for our city library to order it. Bring on the royalties (and hopefully a very good book).
