  1. OMG! I have locked in Brisbane on the 2nd - I'm going to have to come straight from my uni class on the Sunshine Coast, but I'll make it. I'd love to do the workshop, so much, but I start my teaching prac (I'm a pre-service teacher) on the 3rd. Now the question will be, which of your books do I bring to sign....all of them? :D

  2. Damn, I will be in Melbourne a week later and nothing in Adelaide. Sew disappointed but thank you for making the trip and imparting your knowledge Gretchen.
For all those who will miss out is there any chance the classes could be videoed and posted in YouTube later after editing? Thank you and safe travels.Audrey.

  3. Hooray- Lidcome is one of my regular spotlight visits. Weirdly I am already booked in to a vintage dressmaking class at Bobbin and Ink that has a session on the same Saturday you'll be there. So that's not ideal...

  4. So exciting! Just a shame that you aren't coming to Adelaide this trip (hopefully next time!). Too short notice for me to fly anywhere. I hope you have a great trip

  9. Oh boy they're really sending you to the boonies in Bayswater! ;)
I may come to the Thread Den thing it sounds fun!

If you want a night out in Melbourne, I'm sure a crew could be rustled up to show you the sights - we've got some pretty excellento cocktail bars and there's nothing better than intimidating the locals when you're all gussied up and moving in a pack!

I am a local btw and I like intimidating other locals ha!
Any excuse to wear a fancy hat and vintage stockings.

Send me a message if you're not booked out the wazoo!

  14. Oh Gretchen, I am so so happy you are coming to Australia. I'm really looking forward to sewing with you on the weekend in Sydney, and having a drink with you on the Friday night. I'm sure you have a full dance card for your time in Sydney, but if you want tips on where to go vintage or fabric shopping, please let me know. Melbourne trumps Sydney for fabulous bars, but we do have a few! Safe travels, Fran x
