That's so lovely! Have a good time in the sweat shop!
So cute! That's great that she can help you.
As the mother of a 22-year old daughter, NOTHING would delight me and puff me up with pride more than to be able to help my child with a book that she created. And, from the look on your mom's face, I think she feels pretty much about the same! This makes me very happy for both of you!
Enjoy your time together. Two talented ladies. Thanks for sharing the pictures! Looking forward to the results and the next book. Some day we will all get together. Linda
Aren't moms wonderful? She's certainly terribly proud of you and happy to help.
Sending sewing energy to both of you....As a mother of two 30-somethings, I would drop everything and go help them if they were on a creative deadline! Good luck with your book.
Moms are the best!
I am sure your Mom is bursting at the seams with joy to help you! How great to see a mother/daughter working side by side. Congrats on your book, I look forward to owning a copy!

Aw, I think my mom would really enjoy a task like that! Gertie, you look so cute in that grey hoodie! It makes your hair look adorable.
Moms are great, huh? Mine just gave me a serger and a bunch of frantic from her stash!
It's completely adorable that you and your mom can get together to sew! Good luck and godspeed!
Oh, Moms, what would we do without them? My mom hates sewing, but she came to the rescue when I had a stiff deadline I wasn't going to make... That mother-daughter thing is precious. You and your mother look so adorable together!
How cool is that? Sewing side-by-side with your mom. I hope one day I can do something like that with one of my daughters...(the eldest is only 8 though, lol).
Wow super mom on the rescue! Lots of lovely evenings spent sewing with my mum, hopefully will spend lots of those with my baby girl some day (not 3yo yet!). Lovely job that gives you the chance to sew like this. Lucky girl!
Love the post and your pics. There is nothing like having a Mom that will help you out when you need it most. I am so blessed to have had a mother that taught me how to sew when I was nine and it is wonderful to see you include your mother in your book project. How sweet :-D
Yay Mum! I see where you got your lovely smile from :-)
Mom's are wonderful. They always know when you need help and what to do. I am very excited about the book
Awe!! You both have great smiles! Have fun ;) I can't wait for your next book so exciting!!
Such an awesome team! You have the same smile like her. :-) Good luck for your book!
Awwww! What fun! I remember sewing with my mom and those were the best of times! Now if I could only get my daughters on the game plan . . .
Sounds like a great time! You'll aways remember these special times w/ her. my mom lives on the opposite side of US from me and it always feels like a vacation when she comes to town.
Book signing in Arizona? We would love to meet you here. Hope you and Mom can have some fun when the work is done!
Lucky you to have mom around. My mom is my first sewing coach and my she's picky.
Oh Gertie I'm so jealous! How lucky you are to sew with your mom! I can't even imagine how wonderful that feels.
Looks like everyone is having a great time. Good luck on finishing all your projects. It is cooler weather here in the Verde Valley so hope you have a jacket to wear for your trip home. David and Rudy are seen frequently here in the mornings taking walks. A friend, PaT

Hi, Gertie!I'm so excited that you are working on a new book. I've just completed the bow-tied blouse and I absolutely adore it! I haven't felt so excited about a project in a while. Thank you! Good luck with your new book. I will certainly be making more garments from your first book in the meantime:))
Your mom's so sweet to help! Good luck getting all your garments ready! I can't wait to learn more about your new book.
Lucky you, to have a mum that sews as well, mine was great at knitting but hopeless at sewing. Is that the Pfaff Select 4 I see, great machine.
You are such a lucky girl to have such a great helper! My helper is my daughter : )! She's way better at sewing than I am!!!
Your post reminds me of how I got interested in sewing. Yes, my mom made me. Since I was in elementary school, she often says that I should be able to sew. At least able to replace a broken zipper. My mom also sewed her own clothes back then. And here I am now with basic sewing + basic pattern making skills which I am glad of. I couldn't have skilled if it's not she engouraged me to take a course.Raras Lalita
Looking forward to the new book. Hoping for a long sleeved blouse in there maybe. Keep up the good work.Maria
Thanks for your comments; I read each and every one! xo Gertie
