On Vacay

Hellooo, readers! I'm visiting family this week. And despite my best intentions to post while away, I'm just having too much fun.

Did I mention that I have a niece?

She is delicious--I mean, adorable!

We are spending some serious quality time together this week. I take my role as "eccentric aunt" very seriously! I bought her that picture book about the gay penguins and also--a little pink ukulele!

She is a ukulele prodigy!

From here, I'm heading west to see my folks. I plan on continuing to have too much fun to blog, so let's meet back here next week, ok?

Hope you're all doing great!

  5. Have fun! every one needs a break sometimes :) I am anxiously awaiting your fba for your new dress pattern! I loved it but wasn't going to buy it because I have a full bust and small waist, it makes fitting horrible! But you said it can be done and I believe you! It's staring at me waiting to be made into the perfect spring dress wooot woot.

  14. So cute. She clearly adores you!!

BTW you must add the character Garcia from Criminal Minds tv series to your list of Ukulele Ladies. The last scene of the latest episode (17) shows her playing Old MacDonald had a Farm on a crystal studded ukulele!

  16.  Your flower girl may be the smallest member of your bridal party, but there’s no reason she can’t make a big statement. With a little careful planning, your flower girl can be comfortable, cute, and stylish.

  17. Eccentric aunts are important. Even if they're just a little eccentric. (Or is it "ex-centric?" :P) Anyway, it's always good to have one when you're a girl, so, way to go!

  18. She must just love you so much! I bet you are her favorite aunt!!!

  19. I've been wondering when you became an auntie! I kept thinking that it had been a long time since you told us you were going to become one. I'm my two neices favorite auntie (of course, I'm the only one too) because they get pretty little tunic dresses and sundresses that they want to wear for three days in a row. Of course, with my crafter's ADD, they each got a baby quilt and for Christmas got the "big girl" bed quilt as well. It's way fun being an auntie.

  21. We don't have kids and I bought And Tango Makes Two just to have around. Sometimes it's nice being the aunt.
