Readers! I'm here at The Sewing and Stitchery Expo. Taking in fashion shows, buying appliqué stabilizer--ah, the glam life! I'm live tweeting on The Twitters as @sewgertiesew. More to come!
I certainly didn't need the encouragement and managed to come home with way more more fabric than I intended.
Gertie, if you haven't been to the Vogue Fabrics booth, you should make a point to see it tomorrow! That's the line I was in when I was essentially Twitter-stalking you. I'm sorry I never got to meet you, but I do hope you're having a lovely time and that I'll have the opportunity to say hi next year.
I was there on Saturday and had a great time. It was a little overwhelming! Glad you could make it out to our neck of the woods. I was hoping to maybe run into you, but considering the size it is not surprizing our paths didn't cross.
Oh, you are so close to me :) If you had the time, I would heartily suggest a trip to Fabric Depot in Portland--I swear, it's an acre of fabric :) Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!
I saw you looking at the Koala cabinets. What did you think? I wanted to say hi but didn't want to intrude on your me time. Love your dress class. If I ever find the time to finish it I will sign up for the jacket.
Hope you're having a fun time! I still have fabric from the last... ahem... "two" times I've been there. I'm only admitting to two. The reality is just too disturbing.
Gertie, I was so surprised to see that you were at Expo! I tried to register for two of your classes in the catalog and they told me you weren't coming. Coming next year to teach? Please say yes.
I love the first one, top ten reasons you need more fabric! Like anyone needs the encouragement! Have fun

ha ha ha I love top ten reasons you need more fabric, I think my OH my disagree but I would love to know the points raised so I can use them
ReplyDeleteyes, share the points, if you can, mr husband doesn't understand the importance of the "fabric stash" (until HE needs a piece of fabric, of course!)
ReplyDeleteOh Gertie, I'm so jealous. I wanted to go, I wish some of these things where closer to NYC, at least I could then drive out on a weekend to attend.
