And the Winner Is!

Dude, you all get pretty worked up over a fancy sewing kit.1195 gushing entries--I've found my people! Alas, there could only be one winner and the Random Number Generator has spoken: it's Ms. Pattern, entry 249! Congrats, Ms. Pattern.

Lovely Kaufmann Mercantile was so sweet that they sent me a kit of my own, which arrived yesterday. I confess that it's so beautiful I can hardly bring myself to look at it, much less use it. But don't worry, I'm sure I will work up the nerve soon.

I'd like to extend another HUGE thanks to Kaufmann Mercantile for sponsoring this generous giveaway. You can buy a kit of your own here!

P.S. I'm in a giveaway mood, so there will be another one later this week.

  4. Isn't the real winner the company, who collected so many email addresses for essentially nothing? Maybe they won't use your information. Good work on boosting the Twitter accounts, too!

  8. Ninja Ryder, the emails weren't collected by the company. It's my own rule that an email must be included to enter my giveaways, since otherwise I can never track down the winner.

  10. Congratulations!!

Hey, is there something wrong with comments with Open ID? I tried to leave a comment on Sunday (as well as now) with my wordpress ID, but it keeps saying "The characters you entered didn't match the word verification. Please try again."

    Cheers,

  11. Gertie,

That's good to know, I didn't get that from the original post (obviously). I apologize - I just was surprised to see all those email addresses out there for anyone to scoop up and I've had weird emails from Twitter this week, too. No doubt I've been too close to the remarketing kitchen and have seen the sausage made.

I bet I'm the only one who cares about this stuff. Thanks for responding.

  14. @ julijanin Were using a mobile device? I was having the same issue but I think my problem was the iPad was just auto-capping the first letter when I entered the captcha. It took me several times before I realized what was going on. It was also auto correcting without my notice too. Arg.

  18. Congrats Ms. Pattern!

And Gertie, will you let us know what you think of their needles/pins? I know you are partial to Susan Khalje's ones from her site, so I am curious if this could be another source (albeit pricier than hers) for good needles.

And thanks for being so generous!

  23. I wish more people would write blogs like this that are really fun to read. With all the fluff floating around on the internet, it is rare to read a blog like yours instead.
