$100 Hart's Fabric Giveaway!
Great news, readers! Hart's Fabric is offering one lucky reader a $100 gift card (with shipping included, no less). They have a lovely selection of garment fabrics online. All you need to do to enter is leave a comment saying which fabric you'd like to use for your next apparel project.
Here, I'll go first!
How about some floral silk knit for a drapey bow-neck top?
Or maybe a 50s-style suit in some iris-colored Shetland wool?
Ooh, or even a cute little dress or pajamas in this tea-cup print linen.
Isn't this fun? Okay, it's your turn! All countries are eligible. Please just make sure I'm somehow able to find your e-mail address (either by linking to your profile or by leaving it in your comment). I'll choose a winner at the end of the day on Wednesday.
Good luck, my dears!

I would love to try the Snake Skin Knit Fabric. That pattern looks fabulous, and I can see myself in a sexy dress made with that fabric. Looks like a reasonable price too. I would like to try using that fabric in my new sewing machine. I have a twin needle, and I also have a serger, so I'm just the fabric has the right drape for the pattern that I'm thinking about.
ReplyDeleteI just completed a wearable muslin of a pants pattern (first pants ever!) and would luv to make them again out of this raw silk tweed: http://www.hartsfabric.com/raw-silk-tweed-64008.html :-)

ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose I would go for either the Green Baby Bouquet Floral Cotton Voile or the Hemp Wool Plaid.

This is my first blog comment and it is kind of exciting,I just couldn't pass up this giveaway. I would choose between the Birch whale watch Shroom cotton, the cream wool jersey, any of the cotton crosshatch fabrics,a linen raincoat fabric, or if i'm really ambitious the retro yellow bean plaid silk chiffon, but they all look so lovely. p.s. I love reading your blog
ReplyDeleteI would choose the red virgin wool for a cozy knee length full skirted coat of some sort since i desperately need a winter coat.Although, the cream/red striped silk chiffon is tempting too!

Oh me likey Missoni Chunky Zigzag Pink!
ReplyDeleteghainskom at yahoo dot com
Wow they have some really nice fabrics. I'm torn between the Blue Bamboo 2-ply sweater knit, and the Purple Habutai Silk.
ReplyDeleteIt's very grey here so all I feel like wearing is pj's and the sweater knit would be perfect. But I have this idea for a really cute strapless draped cocktail dress and the habutai is exact colour I imagine it being.

For me, it would definately be a Liberty. Liberty Lawn Cloud Flowers, how devine.
ReplyDeleteThat teacup print is adorable. I love foodie fabrics! I would use the teacup fabric to make a cute skirted cross back apron with lace trim and matching linen napkins. Totally dorky but after cleaning out my glass cabinet yesterday and finding a surplus of tea and coffee cups I can't stop thinking about having a "thank god the holidays are over regifting" tea party/brunch. Breakfast cocktails, linen napkins, and cucumber sandwiches included.

Oh my goodness, what an awesome giveaway! I'm currently looking for fabric to use for some slim-fitting pants, but am always looking for lovely blouse/top fabric. So much to choose from!
ReplyDeleteI would like some of the Missoni fabric for a skirt!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to decide! I'm glad I heard about the store, they have a lot of stuff I can't find where I live. I love the "Out To Lunch Cats and Birds Cotton Linen", and I'm sure I'd buy some habutai silk for a blouse too!
ReplyDeletemegurukun at gmail dot com
Oh my gosh, SO many beautiful fabrics! It doesn't look fabulously interesting on screen but I suddenly got an inspiration to make a simple shirt dress from their wool and cotton blend shirting fabric.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.hartsfabric.com/fashion-shirting-fabric58665.html
Ooh, they are lovely! If I were a generous person, I'd buy the Herringbone Plaid wool to make my boyfriend's jacket. But I'm selfish, so I want the Digital Printed Geometric Silk Satin to make a dress for me to brighten my grey winter days! (Though the black rosette fabric would be a close second, for an adorably frothy 50s frock!)
