You look great in this dress. Congrats on a completed sew-a-long. I like how you styled this springy dress with the dark tights for wearing now.
I love the dress, and I love that you used a polka dot instead of a solid for the sash. The pockets make the dress a 10 for sure!Gorgeous work.
Your Crepe turned out beautiful, Gertie! I was in love with the fabric when you initially posted it and it's even more gorgeous made up in this silhouette. I've got the Crepe pattern on my wishlist of things to sew for spring/summer (after I knock out a few current projects! lol) and will definitely be referencing your sew-along for fitting tips and such. ;)♥ Casey
Beautiful!Call me dumb but why is it called a crepe?
It looks AMAZING! The fitting is perfect, and the shape is indeed very flattering. I will look back on he sew-a-long once in the future, maybe when Crepe will be my summer dress...
It looks terrific! I didn't participate but enjoyed reading about the different techniques you explained and already used some on another dress I'm currently working on. I just took a look on the results in the flickr group and all of the dresses look soooo great and are indeed very flattering. I normally don't purchase patterns as I'm subscribed to Burda magazin but I think I've got to sew this dress for myself for the summer asap. Thanks Gertie!
Woah my god, that looks amazing! It makes me especially regret that I couldn't join in for the sew-along. I especially love your fabric choices and it looks like it fits you flawlessly.
It looks fantastic! The information you've provided has been extremely helpful, even coming from someone who wasn't participating! I've been following along and in the future do plan to relive the sew-along on my own time. :)
wow it looks PERFECT. ....and so does your hair!!!...love it
Totally fabulous, lady! s
Dear Gertie, thank you very much for sharing this sew-along with us. Your Crepe turned out absolutely beautiful!!! So I feel I also need my own Crepe! However, I'm a bit hesitating as I'm not sure if Colette-Patterns really fit my body type... Small boobs, little waist, little hips (but boody) and only 5,25 ft small. But I really love and enjoy fifties style...So I am also very curious to see other seamstress versions! Will you publish a galery at your blog? Thanks again, Gertie!
You look gorgeous in your dress. The color is perfect on you. Can't wait for your book. Oh, and thanks so much for congratulating me on my pregnancy. I loved hearing from you.
It's beautiful! It looks so perfect on you. You've inspired me to try to make my own! Thank you!
Write, Gertie... write! :) Maybe you can call in some guest-post favors from around the online sewing network. :D I'm sure we'd all love to hear from kindred folks, with your commentary on the material. You need to take a break, woman--you're going to run your adorable shoes ragged!
The dress is stunning! And you are even more beautiful than usual in it =) Thank you so much for all the energy and time you've put into this sew-along. Even though I couldn't follow it, I sure read every post, and learned some great new techniques.Great to have you back!
I've been dying to see your finished version - it looks fabulous! I love the fabric. I couldn't take part in the sew along but have seen such fabulous completed dresses that I can't wait to make my own!
Your dress turned out great. I received the Crepe pattern for my birthday (actually I bought it with bday $) and when I am ready, I am going to use your sew along to help me with the dress. Thanks for taking the time to share your sewing know how with all of us.
