A reader just tipped me off to this really cute cotton lawn from EmmaOneSock. Wouldn't it make a lovely Crepe dress? I love the fresh leafy green!
While I was trolling around the new fabrics at EmmaOne Sock, I also found this fab Betsey Johnson polka dot cotton. It's lightweight and is another great contender for our Sew-Along.
I've ordered from this online shop once before, and they seem great. They don't bill you on PayPal until they've calculated your shipping, which can save a lot.
That's all for now, peeps! I'll be setting up the Crepe Sew-Along Flickr pool this weekend so you can start to show off your fabric purchases.
My fabric just came in the mail today - it's a cotton lightweight shirting that looks just like the Betsy Johnson polka dot you've posted. This will be my first sew-along. I'm so very excited!
ReplyDeleteI have the green leaf print in my stash, with plans to make a summer tunic. The color is gorgeous and the fabric is nice and silky. It washes and presses well. I made a summer top from the black and white version of the print. (FYI, I saw this fabric today at Denver Fabrics for less than $6/yard...disclaimer - I ordered from them today for the first time, so I cannot comment on the site) I can't wait for my Crepe fabric to arrive!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm planning on using a cotton rayon blend, would that be alright? I'm second guessing my choices so much. What neckline will you be doing?? Thanks heaps.
ReplyDeleteAhhh Polka dots I think I will be in love with you forever.
ReplyDeleteI adore that leaf print and as for polka dots...what's not to love?!xx
ReplyDeleteI just ordered my fabric from Ann at Gorgeous Fabrics. I sent her an email before I ordered it to make sure it wasn't too sheer. She got back to me immediately!!! I really love her fabrics.....
ReplyDeleteI had my eye on the same green print (I'm pretty sure it's the same) but it's discounted on this site:

That's it, right?
I just ordered a big, bold, black and white floral. I'm jazzed about this project :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love this fabric and will now have to order some - particularly the green leaf print. Not sure what I'll be using it for, but isn't that what happens?? ~ sigh ~

Ha, I got that leaf print last spring from Fashion Fabrics Club for less than $5 a yard. You might check there if you're still looking for it! I also made a (vintage pattern) skirt from it, turned out SO cute. The lawn is a nice weight for really full circle or dirndl skirts! :)
