Time for a Mini Mental Health Break!
Woo hoo, it's almost mini-break time! Jeff and I are jaunting off tomorrow morning for our anniversary vacation. On the agenda? Three nights at a lovely bed and breakfast, lunch at the Culinary Institute of America, other assorted decadent meals, LOTS of bubble baths, antiquing, tromping around in nature . . . and no blogging. I've been in a New York state of mind (not in the good way, but in the super cranky way) and I'm excited to get out of the city for a bit and recharge. I will see you broads (and gents, I know there are like two of you reading this) back here next Tuesday.
As for the mini-break wardrobe, well . . . "wardrobe" would be a grand term for it at this point. I only managed to complete two and a half garments: the tie-front blouse in red gingham, a pair of shorts in red doubleknit, and most of a halter top which may or may not be completed before we take off. I'll make sure to photograph the pieces in action this weekend! The Dior-esque red linen suit will have to wait, but that's okay. Perhaps more important than the clothes, I stocked up on the real vacation essentials: bubble bars from Lush and two light fashion-y reads - Elegance by Kathleen Tessaro and The Science of Sexy by Bradley Bayou, both reader recommendations.
As always, thanks for reading, commenting, and making this blogging business so darn fun!

Have tons of fun!
ReplyDeleteI must say Elegance was one of the worst books I ever read, but maybe it was due to to the horrible translation (I read it in Hebrew). Not trying to be a party-pooper, but maybe you'll want to take another book with you just in case...
I hope you and your husband have a restful little break!
ReplyDeleteBreaks from blogging are always advised, from time to time! ;) Hope you have a fantastic mini-vacation with your husband, and have lots of good adventures! :)
