Last week, I reached a big blog milestone - my 500th follower! To celebrate, I'm doing a little giveaway. The lucky winner will receive a tube of MAC Russian Red matte lipstick (my signature color!) and MAC Redd lip pencil, the matching liner. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post by midnight EST on Monday, January 18th.
Just a disclaimer: MAC is not a sponsor, and this giveaway is a gift from me to thank you for reading! Check back later this week for a FABULOUS sponsored giveaway.
Update: Amanda, thank you for reminding me about Google Reader subscribers! I had not forgotten you guys - after all, your ranks reached over 1,000 this week. Yet another reason to celebrate! I wish I could give you ALL a lipstick!
Update #2 (Goodness, I'm forgetful today!): All are welcome to enter, regardless of location! As long as you can get mail, you're in.
Ooooh! I'm in, I'm in! I almost bought the Russian Red last week, now I'll cross my fingers... You are a great inspiration, Gertie, I LOVE your blog!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to try Russian Red, but whenever I visit the Mac counter they are always sold out!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! :) Been following your blog for a while now. Don't know almost anything about sewing but your blog is so lovely anyhow.
ReplyDeleteMmmm...yes please! I've always been a drugstore makeup girl, myself so a grown up lady lipstick would be a real treat. I subscribe to a great many (too many) sewing blogs, but yours is one of my very favourites. Keep it up! (oh, and nice new glasses too!)
ReplyDeleteRussian Red would be lovely! I always look to your blog for inspiration, I especially love your new glasses. Such a cute look :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, pick me, pick me!;-)
ReplyDeletePretty! I love your new look! I would love to have the lipstick!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try Russian Red! Similarly, I've never been a seamstress, but your blog has made me consider more seriously the idea of taking up sewing. Keep up the lovely work!
ReplyDeleteSweet, I hope I win! And if i do win, hopefully the color will look as good on me as it does on you!
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic - I can't image 500 - I have 7 and am thrilled:) Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous! For some reason, with all my MAC products, this is not one in the bag, but I'd love to have it! I've heard fantastic things about the shade.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on having reached over 500 followers! Your blog is awesome; so I am not surprised.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog! Enter me, please! :)
ReplyDeleteAre you counting all of us that are Google Reader subscribers? There's 130+ of us!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
And YAY for more lip product!
I have been thinking about trying a red lipstick but never knew what to get. And I love MAC.
ReplyDeletei don't know if this is a international giveaway, but if you are able to ship to sweden, i'm in! :)
ReplyDeletetavla@wignas.se
Hey, Gertie. I am not going to enter for the giveaway. I am too fair, too blonde, and too old to wear the Russian Red. But, I love MAC products. And I love your blog. Congrats on 500!
ReplyDeleteOne more entry here! I've almost run out of my own tube of Russian Red, so a new one would be great ;)
ReplyDelete500 followers?!? I'm so jealous.
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to try this lipstick, but had to give up "extravagant" purchases because I got married last year. (I should have just bought it for the wedding...)
Mercy me! I've followed your blog for a while now and I love what you do here. Thank YOU for writing such a great little blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm a recent convert to the good gospel of red lipstick, and I'd love to try Russian Red!
Congratulations on having so many followers. One of the reasons you have so many is because you're inspiring; another is that you are generous with your knowledge. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteluv luv red! Count me too! When I'm in San Diego the MAC counter is always out of this & it's time to stop digging the color out of the bottom of my old fave Vintage Red by Elizabeth Arden...! (RIP) Red lips wake me up & compliment my wardrobe - no pastels here. My latest upcoming project when I finish my current little jacket is an amazing vintage Vogue pattern no. 9825 w/ a cleverly draped cowl neckline, deep scoop back, fitted waist, full swishy skirt & a long fitted sleeve. I've chosen a sheer charcoal cotton (a little softer than organdy) to layer over indigo (or black - I haven't decided). Check it out on wiki.
ReplyDeleteSorry, for the long post. I get all excited about vintage patterns and had to bubble.
500! Congratulations! I want the lipstick!
ReplyDeleteooo I just found you via sewweekly.com and I've definitely added you to my google reader! I'd love some lippy ;)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to be the kind of woman who wore red lipstick. Love your new look by the way. The glasses are awesome.

ReplyDeleteHi Gertie,
ReplyDeleteI never wear lipstick but considered buying this one after I saw it on your blog.
I wish I had more time to sew. You are a real inspiration. I got some vintage sewing patterns for Christmas that I found in an Etsy shop I discovered through your blog. I can't wait to use them (late 40's early 50's).
At the moment, I am sewing a dress from Colette patterns (that's through this blog that I found yours).
Love your blog !
